Crappy Biscuits

Have you ever noticed that some of those biscuit you buy just don't fix correctly in the slots that your particular biscuit joiner might make, why is that? Well, I don't know but, here's a way to deal with the problem.

Using a piece of 3/4" plywood about 12" long by 5" wide, glue down a strip of 100 grit sand paper.
Cut a slot for the size biscuit you're using in the plywood to check the thickness of the sanded biscuits.Take a small block of wood and drive to 4 penny finish nail through, snipping off all but an 1/8" on the other side and file to a point
You use this block to hold the biscuits while you sand them. When they fit into the slot, you're done.
