Cutting Large Sheets of Plywood.

Not having a large "sliding" table saw cutting full sheets of plywood is always a task. Ripping is not a problem, but crosscutting is. I have come up with a few "auxiliary" set-ups that have helped me a great deal in both speed and accuracy.

This is a picture of the set-up I use to crosscut large sheets/panels. It consists of a sliding jig made from 1/2 birch plywood, two intermediate supports and an accuride 22" draw slide. The accuride slide is also 1/2" so everything is moving on the same plan when being cut.

The draw slide supports pieces that are over 66" from the blade, it also "extends" as the sheet is moved through the saw. The intermediate supports have sand paper glued to the bottom so they don't move as the piece is being cut.

Works Great. . . .
