Mastering Crown Moulding.

Crown Moulding, you've decided it's something you'd like to do yourself. As I've stated before it's not very difficult to do, but there are things that you can do to make the task easier. Were as the following pages with go into detail about what things you'll need to look for and the tools and techniques you'll need, this page will talk about preparation.

By far preparation is the key to success in any project you undertake and trim work is no exception. To quoin the phrase"know and understand how to use you equipment to prevent personal injury" might be a bit of an understatement. Trim work and carpentry in general is an inherently dangerous task and you should do everything in your power to work as safely as possible.

Besides knowing how to use and operate the tools and equipment you have it's always a good idea to have sturdy ladders, safety glasses, gloves and ear protection. I'd also highly recommend a First Aid Kit as well. Since most of the work you'll be doing will be at the ceiling, it stands to reason that good quality ladder/s are given.

With this in mind you'll now be able to approach you project with more confidence. Which in turn will help you produce a better job and have a more gratify experience. So now follow the links below and in no time you'll be installing crown moulding like a pro!

Good luck with your project and as always if you have any questions feel free to email me or stop by my on-line forum. Also, if you are so inclined, feel free to post your projects on the forum.
